Should my items be insured while in storage?
Yes, it’s highly advisable to keep your items insured while in storage. JR Caravan Storage holds comprehensive insurance coverage for the facility itself, it’s important to note that our policy does not extend to cover your individual items. This is akin to your home and car insurance – your home owner’s policy, for instance, doesn’t cover damages to your car while parked at home.
While not mandatory, we strongly recommend that you obtain your own insurance for the items you store with us. It ensures an extra layer of protection tailored specifically to the value of your belongings. This is especially crucial if you’re storing valuable belongings along with your car, boat or caravan, because we’re not aware of the value of your individual items.
If you plan on storing with us for an extended period, it’s a wise move to inform your insurance company about your storage arrangement. This proactive step may lead to potential reductions in your insurance premiums.
Payment
Our preferred method of payment is through Direct Debit, which can be set up using your Credit Card, Debit Card, or Bank account. If this method doesn’t suit your preferences, feel free to discuss alternative options with us.
Your initial payment covers the month in advance, and late payment fees apply
We bill on a monthly basis, with payments due in advance from the first day of your storage. The automated payments are scheduled for the month ahead, with a 5-day grace period before a late fee of $15 is applied. After an additional 10 days, a further late fee of $25 is added to your account.
To prevent the possibility of late fees, we recommend ensuring that all payments are guaranteed when automatically deducted from your bank account or credit card each month. This ensures a seamless and fee-free experience for our valued customers.
